JOB DESCRIPTION

A local non-profit organization is seeking a Housekeeper to perform heavy cleaning and keep assigned areas in a clean and orderly condition, operate polishing, buffing, and carpet care machines, and perform other duties. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Duties:

Clean and disinfect all surfaces in assigned locations and restrooms and maintain adequate supply of necessary items

Clean, dust, sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub and/or buff floors and other surfaces in assigned areas

Strip floors, apply wax, operate polisher, buffing machine, vacuum and remove spots from carpet

Clean and polish inside elevator and doors

Collect and dispose of trash and rubbish, clean wastebaskets, garbage cans, replace liners, break down, and dispose of cartons

Keep supply rooms clean and orderly and maintain stock of supplies

Attend all mandatory in-service training, adhere to BRIA safety and sanitation policies, and maintain confidentiality

Perform other duties as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Job Qualifications:

Must have a High School Diploma or GED

Must have at least 1-year prior experience in cleaning and janitorial work

Must have general Microsoft Office skills, able to receive and send emails, and enter and understand Electronic Work Order System

Must be comfortable standing, sitting, reaching, stooping, and kneeling during your entire shift

Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Must have a solid work history with no attendance issues

Must be able to abide to all safety and sanitation policies

Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. There is the possibility of this turning into a permanent position.
