KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Performs all repairs, maintenance, and replacement of parts for preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, and accurately record all pertinent data.
Continually assess the preventative maintenance schedule to ensure that equipment longevity, avoidance of repairs and down time, ease of operation, and efficiency are all being maximized pursuant to manufacturers recommendations.
General knowledge of automatic sprinkler systems
Must be able to operate mower, trimmers, snow blowers, vacuums, power washers, and all gardening tools.
Ability to learn and comply with the laws and regulations affecting the casino and racing industry.
Excellent customer and employee relations skills
Verbal communications skills.
Valid Drivers license
Ability to operate company equipment and vehicles
Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must be able to work in climates for all seasons, to include heat over 100F and to include temperatures below Freezing.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
MISCELLANEOUS:
Read, write, and understand complex instructions and appropriately complete all necessary documentation.
Strong communication skills.
Organize and run special projects to ensure their proper completion.
Must consistently have a good attitude, be friendly, outgoing, provide excellent guest service and always work well with fellow employees.
Maintain regular, predictable attendance in accordance with policy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or GED required
. Must be at least 19 years of age to work in the Casino.
Certifications in HVAC, Plumbing, or Basic Electricity are strongly encouraged but not required.
Must have a strong mechanical aptitude.
Background working knowledge with small engines and general maintenance and repairs.
