Position Overview: The Receptionist for Boarding Kennel contributes to the success of a high-performing organization committed to delivering superior care and exceptional service. Performs a range of administrative and customer service tasks, providing valuable support to the hospital.

Provide excellent customer service
Answer phones by 3 rings; ringer must be turned on at all times
Immediately recognize clients when they arrive
Help owners take food, belongings, or pets to their car
Create a positive environment for clients and employees
Daily Duties
Make 14 days calls everyday
Do confirmation daily
Check vaccines every day for arrivals, playcare
Invoice day boarders and playcare daily
Gather belongings
Count any medications
Document items not gathered
Check emails
Transfer packets
Make boarding appointments
Cornerstone
Correspondence
Call veterinarians for vaccines
Make new client files
Checking clients out by means of taking payments
Check invoices for proper coding
Operate Cornerstone
Scan documents into client accounts daily
Print lists for next day's arrivals and highlight for reception and kennel
Turn phones over in the morning and at night
Operate phone and walkie system with professional conduct.
Performing end of day making sure to not finalize end of day until all money matches Cornerstone
Execute check ins
Make kennel cards
Patient orders
Weight and name tag
Find open accommodations or work with kennel to move pets around
Properly make medication sheets
Give pet name tag with proper color
Complete report cards
Complete daily check list before leaving for the day.
Additional duties
Keep desk and reception area clean
Perform extra cleaning assigned each month
Clean lobby daily
Dust
Vacuum/ mop
Clean doors/ windows
Human resources
Work closely with management
Work closely with playcare coordinator/ambassador
Inform manager of unusual problems
Know reference materials
Handbook
MSDS
Protocol books
Fire escape routes
Perform additional duties assigned by manager
Arrive to work 5-10 min early
Cover shifts as needed including
Playcare breaks/lunches
Kennel breaks/ lunches
Work overtime by management approval
Follow call out protocol
Adhere to the standard of conduct in handbook
Work quickly and multitask to ensure all duties are completed before the end of your shift
