Primary Functions:

Responsible for customer service, and preparing a quality food product with the ability to follow standardized recipes.

Position Requirements:

Able to speak, read and write English.

Able to perform basic math

Able to follow verbal and written instructions

Must be customer-oriented, organized and detail-oriented

Able to occasionally lift/transport 50 pounds

Able to frequently lift/transport between 1- 30 pounds

Able to move around the cafeteria kitchen in a safe manner

Able to gather ingredients and equipment to prepare food for cooking and baking.

Understands food safety and sanitation

Ability to maintain a high standard of personal hygiene

Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Helps Prepare breakfast, lunch, dinner and all hot catering meals

Preparation of other food items directed by the Executive Chef

Garnishes and places food items on the line

Ensures and maintains proper sanitation of the kitchen

Uses proper portioning

Assists in restocking and clean-up of the kitchen and serving line at the end of the service period

Other duties as required and assigned
