Custodian

Staffmark is seeking a dedicated Custodian to support day-to-day operations at a respected educational facility in Charleston. This role plays a vital part in maintaining clean, safe, and functional learning environments across classrooms, offices, gymnasiums, and cafeterias.

Pay: $18.00-$20.00/hr (based on experience)

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 2nd Shift | 3:30 PM - 11:30 PM

What You'll Do:

• Perform general custodial tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting
• Clean and restock restrooms
• Collect and properly dispose of trash and recycling
• Assist with setup and teardown for school events (tables, chairs, tents, etc.)
• Follow safety procedures and comply with school and departmental policies
• Work across all three Porter-Gaud/O'Quinn campuses as needed, including during holidays, weekends, and summer hours

Requirements:

• 2+ years of custodial/housekeeping experience
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and floor care equipment (preferred)
• Ability to lift 25 lbs occasionally and perform physical tasks including walking, bending, and climbing
• Valid SC driver's license with acceptable MVR
• High school diploma preferred but not required
• Flexibility to support events and campus needs beyond standard hours
