As a cashier, you play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience for our guests while being an important part of the guest dining experience. The ideal candidate will be dedicated, ambitious and seeking opportunities to grow their career. At Veselka, Cashiers are hardworking and friendly and operate in a quick and efficient manner with a passion to accommodate the needs of the restaurants guests.

The positions core functions will include greeting guests and taking their orders, expediting food orders, taking payments, making drinks for service, and answering the phone.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Welcoming guests;
  • Offering menu assistance and answering questions;
  • Taking guests food and beverage orders;
  • Expediting and packing food orders, ensuring the accuracy of each order;
  • Processing payments accurately and efficiently;
  • Making all drinks for dine-in and take out;
  • Handling incoming and outgoing phone calls professionally and efficiently;
  • Managing third-party delivery services;
  • Maintaining steadily supply of freshly brewed coffee;
  • Making sure that opening and closing shift side work is done;
  • Cleaning any spills in the take-out area if needed;
  • Following food handling regulations and other guidelines to increase guest safety;
  • Making sure that all operational duties and tasks are completed in a timely manner;
  • Streamlining the restaurant processes to improve guest experience.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience in the hospitality industry with a background in food service;
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with guests;
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once;
  • Strong communication skills working in a team environment;
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environment while maintaining composure and efficiency;
  • Physical stamina to stand and work for extended periods of time;
  • Knowledge of food production and service, including safe storage practices;
  • Organization skills and attention to detail;
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs;
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation Details

Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
