Omaha Country Club is seeking a motivated, skilled and knowledgeable Building Maintenance Engineer to oversee a comprehensive maintenance program for our Clubhouse and campus facilities. This vital position will oversee all mechanical areas of club facilities including electrical, HVAC systems, plumbing, and related equipment, and perform general carpentry to keep the club functioning at top efficiency. JOB DUTIES

Perform repairs and preventative maintenance of Club facilities including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, steam boiler system, roofing, elevator, ice machines, laundry equipment, and kitchen equipment.

Perform general electrical maintenance including replacing electrical switches and light bulbs, tracing circuits and troubleshooting.

Perform repairs to kitchen appliances including refrigerators, stoves, ventilation units, and ice machines.

Perform maintenance of the steam boiler system including daily water testing.

Perform needed repairs to improve the aesthetics and safety of the interior areas of the Clubhouse and campus buildings.

Maintain the aquatics facility including repair and maintenance of the pool system, and accurately testing and maintaining proper pool water chemistry to ensure the safety of the swimming pool water.

Answer service calls and perform repairs and maintenance as needed, or procure outside contractors to alleviate all issues in a timely manner.

Assist with the procurement of bids and contracts required for all maintenance improvements. Coordinate and manage outside contractors.

Develop the departmental operational and capital improvement budgets.

Prepare all necessary reports required by the city and county concerning safety, health and fire, and provide documentation for the renewal of all permits and licenses.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment with continual emphasis on promoting employee health and safety.

Complete other appropriate tasks required of the position or as assigned by the General Manager. A complete job description will be provided during the interview process.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members.

Able to multitask and problem-solve while working in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and very organized.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent.

Post-secondary vocational or technical training in electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or a related field. Training certifications are desirable.

Five years of progressive experience in facilities maintenance or a related position.

Working knowledge of basic carpentry, HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Valid Third Grade Stationary Engineer Certification.

Valid State of Nebraska Pool Operator Certification (within 60 days of hire).

Valid EPA Section 608 Certification (within 60 days of hire).

Valid CPR, AED, and First Aid Certification (Club offered).

Ability to effectively utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Fluent in English, ability to communicate effectively.

Must have reliable attendance, a valid driver's license, and dependable transportation.

Must be able to abide by the OCC Tobacco, Alcohol, and Drug Policy.

SCHEDULE

On-site, full-time position in Omaha. Approximately 40+ hours per week.

Serve in an on-call capacity to assist with facility emergencies as needed.
