Job Description

As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Executive Chef in managing all aspects of kitchen operations. Your creativity, leadership skills, and attention to detail will drive the kitchen's success and maintain the high standards we are known for. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced culinary professional to contribute to a fast-paced, high-quality dining environment. We are looking for someone wanting to take the next step in their career and give them the opportunity to grow in a leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to plan and develop menus that reflect the restaurant's concept and celebrate southern traditions.

Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they ad to food preparation, cooking, and presentation standards.

Monitor kitchen operations to maintain a high level of cleanliness,anization, andpliance with health and safety guidelines.

Assist in inventory management, including ordering and maintaining stock levels of ingredients and supplies.

Oversee food preparation and ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation.

Contribute to the creation of daily specials and the development of new recipes.

Maintain effectivemunication between kitchen staff and the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service.

Step in to lead the kitchen team in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Qualifications and Skills

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 3-5 years of culinary experience in a professional kitchen, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.

Proven expertise in various cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment operation.

Strong understanding of food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Exceptionalanizational and multitasking skills.

Preferred Skills

Creative passion for menu development and an interest for modern culinary trends.

Experience in creating dishes that cater to dietary restrictions and preferences.

Ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
