Job Details Job Details

The Roost, DC's premiere Culinary Clubhouse, is seeking talented, fun, and gregarious baristas to complement our already stellar team!

Nestled within the 12,500-square-foot, 10-concept food hall, Cameo places strong partnerships with eco-conscious and socially responsible companies FIRST. We love companies that source whole, natural ingredients and pay fairly for them. We hate plastic. We take pains to seek out, support, and source from women-, LGBTQ+-, and BIPOC-owned companies before anything else.

Our ideal candidate is someone with previous barista experience though those with no specific barista background but who have related hospitality/customer service experience will happily be considered! A good personality and a willingness to grow and learn are just as good as experience in our book! Cameo is open 7 days a week, from 8 am to 6 pm, so having morning availability is a must (it's a coffee shop after all!) as is having reliable transportation (we're right across the street from the Potomac Ave Metro stop!). Being part of a food hall, you'll be doing a little more than barista-ing throughout your shift: bussing and drink running are part of the job but are far from your chief responsibility. With that in mind, you'll need to be able to lift upwards of 25 pounds consistently, as well as be able to be on your feet for the majority of your shift. Part-time positions are available!

If you're interested in joining a diverse, enthusiastic, and hospitality-focused team. Please don't hesitate to reach out and tell us a bit about yourself and your experience. We can't wait to hear from you!

A bit about our parent company:

Neighborhood Restaurant Group (NRG), one of DCs most creative and acclaimed restaurant groups, is looking forward to moving past the challenges of the past year and returning to full operations! As its name suggests, NRG is a group of unique companies and concepts. We think of ourselves as a collective of committed food, beverage, and hospitality fanatics who share common goals: to open and operate independent, exceptional, distinctive, and conscientious restaurants and bars with chef-driven menus and ambitious beverage programs; to create unique gathering places that reflect the communities in which they reside; and to surpass the expectations of our guests. We look forward to hearing from you.
