Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Line Cook with a strong background in Caribbean cuisine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes in accordance with our menu and high culinary standards. You must be comfortable working in a team environment and able to handle the demands of a busy kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook Caribbean dishes according to recipes, ensuring consistency and quality.
Manage the preparation of ingredients, including marinades, sauces, and fresh produce, with a focus on authentic flavors.
Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
Assist in inventory control, including receiving and storing supplies.
Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations during service.
Assist with menu planning and the creation of new Caribbean-inspired dishes.
Monitor food stock levels and assist with ordering as necessary.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Line Cook, with at least 3 years of experience working in a high-volume kitchen.
Strong knowledge of Caribbean cuisine, including key ingredients, cooking techniques, and traditional flavors.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
Excellent knife skills and knowledge of kitchen equipment.
Ability to follow recipes and cooking instructions precisely.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Food Handlers Certification (or ability to obtain it).
Flexible schedule, with the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
