Nutrition Services, Head Cook III, M-F School Days Only, 6am to 1pm

The Head Cook III position at Standing Bear High School prepares food items for students following the prep calendar and standardized recipes. Follow all HACCP requirements including recording temperatures and completing cooling logs. Work closely with the Manager to ensure sufficient quantities are prepared daily. Helps to monitor inventory levels.

This position works with a variety of kitchen equipment including steamers, ovens, and jacketed steam kettles. Required to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds and frequently lift up to 25 pounds.

The successful candidate will have good math skills, good attention to details, and a strong sense of urgency. Must be able to multi-task.

Previous food service experience and customer service experience is required. Large quantity cooking experience is highly desired.

Hours: 6:00a-1:00p, 6.5hrs/day, 180 days/year

Pay: $20.38/hr
