Custodian Location: Charleston, WV Schedule: Part-Time Pay: Based on experience Job Description: Seeking a dependable Custodian to perform general cleaning and upkeep of office buildings in the Charleston area. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment by completing various janitorial tasks as outlined below: Job Duties: Clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim Sanitize and tidy hallways, restrooms, offices, elevators, lounges, and stairwells Sweep, mop, and scrub floors Clean carpets, rugs, upholstered furniture, and drapes Dust and sanitize furniture and equipment Wash windows, doors, and sills Empty wastebaskets and dispose of trash properly Replenish restroom supplies Clean sinks, mirrors, and toilets Pick up trash in parking lots and around entrances as needed Maintain janitorial equipment and use cleaning supplies efficiently Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications: High school diploma or GED preferred 13 months of custodial experience preferred Must pass a criminal background check Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods Reliable transportation is required
