JOB CLASSIFICATION: Food Service Worker

LOCATION : Margaret Chase Smith Community School

HOURS: 6 hours per day

Monday Friday

30 hours per week

School Year

Skill Requirements

  1. Minimum High School Diploma or HiSET
  2. Documented knowledge of program requirements & records
  3. Demonstrated ability to work with others in a team setting
  4. Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and reports in a

timely manner

  1. Evidence of excellent written and oral communication skills 6. Demonstrated ability to follow recipes
  2. Documented knowledge of:
  • Quantity food production
  • Storage and handling techniques
  • Sanitation techniques
  • Chemical handling, SDS sheets
  • Interpreting, following and adapting recipes
  • Inventory control
  • Interpreting and maintaining HACCP compliance
  • Power Lunch for Point of Service and Reporting
  1. Documented knowledge sanitation as designated by management
