In September, The Country Club of Virginia will proudly unveil its newly renovated, state-of-the-art James River Clubhouse. To support this highly anticipated grand reopening, CCV is seeking experienced and service-focused Bartenders to join its Food & Beverage operations. The Country Club of Virginia is one of Americas oldest and finest private, member-owned clubs. CCV is currently ranked #7 on the Platinum Clubs of America list, out of thousands of recognized clubs. Located in Richmond, Virginia, CCV was organized in 1908 and is one of the nations largest full-service country clubs. The clubs 8,000+ members support 1,111 acres containing two superb clubhouses situated seven miles apart, 54 holes of golf, 24 tennis courts, five squash courts, three platform tennis courts, a 100,000 square foot fitness complex, five pools, five dining outlets, three snack bars, and special event venues. In season, CCV employs a staff of over 800 and has an operating budget in excess of $51 million.
Start Date: Training and onboarding will begin in August; Grand Opening in September
Schedule: Part-time, Tuesday-Sunday, 3-5 shifts a week, approximately 15-25 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve classic and contemporary cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages with accuracy and efficiency
Deliver friendly, knowledgeable, and professional service in all bar and lounge areas
Maintain a clean and organized bar environment, adhering to all safety and sanitation standards
Assist with inventory control, restocking, and setup/breakdown procedures
Work collaboratively with dining room and culinary teams to ensure smooth and seamless service
Provide beverage recommendations and accommodate member and guest preferences with professionalism
Qualifications:
Prior bartending experience in an upscale dining, hospitality, or private club environment preferred
Strong knowledge of wine, beer, spirits, and craft cocktail preparation
Professional appearance and demeanor, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
