Phil & Jennie Gaglardi Academy (PJGA)

PJGA is a flourishing interdenominational K-12 Christian School situated on Vancouver Island in the beautiful Comox Valley of British Columbia. We are in need of custodians to continue to maintain our commitment to providing a clean and secure facility for those who work and attend our school. We place great emphasis on the health, protection and safety of all our students and staff.

POSITION: Custodian/Janitorial
Weekly hours: ~22.5 hours
Rate range: $25.00 per hour
Start Date: September 2nd, 2025

To be considered for this position, the following abilities and skills are required:

Ability:

to manage your time efficiently
to work independently with minimal supervision
to lift at least 15 pounds
handle basic maintenance, building repairs, cleaning and other janitorial work
able to work safely with a variety of cleaning supplies and equipment

Skills:

High school diploma with basic math skills
Up-to-date Whimis certification
Valid driver's license
Prior experience preferred
This position follows the current yearly school calendar, with workdays from Sunday to Friday (closed on Statutory Holidays). Sundays' work shifts are 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., and Monday through Friday's work shifts are 2:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Upon choosing the right candidate, the contract would begin in September.
