**Job Title:** Custodian -- 3^nd^ shift

**Application & Job Description:** Can be obtained from the Maplewood Career Center Main Office or online at:

**Job Qualifications:**

1. High school diploma. Post-secondary training in a trade is desirable.

2. Meets all mandated health requirements.

3. A record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.

4. Complies with drug-free workplace rules and board policies.

5. Skill/experience in preventive maintenance and basic repair procedures. Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and pneumatic principles.

6. Knowledge about building systems (e.g., HVAC, fire suppression, security communication, etc.).

7. Ability to comprehend and use blueprints/schematic diagrams. Ability to read, understand, and comply with Globally Harmonized System (GHS).

8. Can operate computer, man lift, and tow motor.

9. Holds or is qualified to obtain a pesticide application license if needed.

10. Valid driver's license appropriate for operating the district vehicles and plow trucks. Meets all prerequisite and ongoing qualifications to be covered by the district's insurance carrier.

11. Consistently dependable. Flexible outlook. Accepts new responsibilities/assignments willingly.

**Reports to:** Supervisor of Business Affairs

**Characteristic Routine Work:**

To provide a clean environment, security for the facility, and whatever custodial support that is deemed necessary for the district.
