Batliner Recycling has an opening for a Maintenance Mechanic. The individual hired must have experience doing maintenance, repairs and PMs in a manufacturing or plant environment.

Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance of the forklift stock and related equipment to ensure that all equipment is in working order. The ability to recognize and diagnose problems and issues with equipment is essential.

Responsibilities/Duties

- Full time forklift maintenance and repair.

- Perform all levels of preventative maintenance services.

- Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings and other parts to ensure they are working properly.

- Other plant equipment repairs as needed.

- Building and grounds maintenance as needed.

- Occasional minor vehicle repairs

- Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, stand and climb

- Adhere to our company safety and employee handbook policies

- Work in all weather conditions; occasionally on the road

Education and Experience

- High School Diploma

- Previous welding and/or fabrication experience

- Electrical repair and maintenance experience

- A minimum of three years of maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
