Position Type: Full-Time Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour Wage Increases: Year 2 - $17.50 | Year 3 - $18.00 | Year 4 - $18.50 Work Location: Batavia, IL Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation. Understands sampling procedures and follows them accordingly. Supports and assists the team to ensure proper food flow in a consistent and efficient manner. Maintains the high standards of hygiene, safety, cleanliness, and sanitation in the sampling kitchen areas. Organizes a daily cleaning routine to ensure that all kitchenware is cleaned and sanitized properly and in a timely manner. Supports and assists in the clean-up of the product samples during and following each sampling session. Supports and assists the clean-up and maintenance of the sampling areas, designated supplier meeting rooms and community areas. Restocks and organizes all kitchenware after cleaning and sanitizing. Performs all assigned tasks accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. Complies with ALDI privacy and security requirements and policies if job responsibilities include possible access to confidential and/or sensitive information. Other duties as assigned. Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Education and Experience: High School Diploma / GED required. A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience required. Completes Illinois Department of Health County Certification course for food service and sanitation within 90 days of hire and the certification must be renewed and maintained according to the Illinois Department of Health guidelines required. Or, a combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge. Physical Requirements: Work may be performed in a kitchen office, remote office or a combination of both where cleaning supplies, kitchen equipment, a computer and office equipment may be used as needed to perform duties. Regularly required to reach, grasp, stand and move from one area to another. Regularly required to push, pull, bend and move and lift up to 50 lbs. Travel: Minimal travel required as needed for job related duties such as training, project work and administrative tasks.
