We are seeking a Housekeeper to join our large team here at Emerald Heights, a 5 star retirement community in Redmond!!!. We sit on 38 acres of BEAUTIFUL land and have been in business for over 30 years! Our team is looking for folks that have a love and compassion for seniors and are looking to build relationships in the community. This person will be in the homes of residents and will help provide general cleaning services of resident living areas such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, dusting and emptying trash.

Pay Scale:

$20.09-$25.75

Schedule: Sat-Wed 8 am- 4:30 pm

Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company's 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b - 20+ hours per week) - We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provides general cleaning services of resident living areas such as vacuuming, sweeping, mopping floors, dusting and emptying trash.

Makes beds and/or changes linens.

Cleans large appliances: refrigerators, stoves/ovens, washers, dryers and microwaves.

Disinfects medical equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, medicine carts, and beds.

Handles soiled linens using universal infection protection techniques.

Performs laundry services for residents, Health Services and Food & Beverage departments using commercial laundry equipment.

Irons, folds and returns clean laundry to residents, Health Services and Food & Beverage departments.

Restocks skilled nursing home rooms with bathroom supplies including toilet tissues, paper towels, hand soap, and gloves.

Spot-cleans carpets.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

High school degree or GED required.

Three months' housekeeping/laundry service experience preferred.

Common sense and good judgments

Able to learn new procedures and techniques quickly

Able to work effectively and efficiently.

Able to work both independently or in a team environment.

Deal tactfully with staff, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies and the general public

Able to keep confidentiality.

Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers in English.
