Prep Cook

The PALM Health cafe is a small cafe specializing in healthy and nutritious food, baked goods, smoothies, and coffee beverages. The Prep Cook will prepare delicious smoothies, juices, salads, sandwiches, and other simple entrees. Duties include setting up workstations and ingredients to arrange dishes according to recipes, prepare food and smoothies to order, and prepare packaged food for on-site purchase. Qualified candidates must be able to work well and collaboratively in a fast-paced and busy environment, be quick and diligent, and willing to improve on the job. The Prep Cook must be able to follow instructions and adhere to all health and safety rules in the kitchen.

Required Qualifications

• Two years experience as prep cook (required)
• Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen (required)
• Manual dexterity: able to operate cutting tools and kitchen utensils (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred); training from a culinary school will be an asset
