Description
As the Dishwasher/Steward for the Employee Cafeteria at our luxury resort, you are essential to maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient back-of-house environment that supports the daily nourishment of our team members. In this behind-the-scenes role, you will ensure all dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment used in the cafeteria are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized in accordance with resort and health department standards.
Ideal candidates are dependable, detail-oriented, and take pride in supporting the overall wellness and morale of the resort team through consistent and high-quality kitchen stewardship.
Requirements
- Prepare cold and hot buffet for service, ensuring the buffet is clean and powered on.
- Assist cook with food prep if needed
- Transport food from Kitchen to cafeteria
- Keep the buffet clean and stocked throughout service time
- Bring dirty dishes to dish pit
- Return leftover food to kitchen
- Help to wrap and label food to be put into walk-in
- Clean both hot and cold buffet
- Empty trash
- Sweep and mop floor after service has ended
- Contribute to overall resort team effort by completing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two step instructions.
- Ability to communicate orally with co-workers and supervisors.
- Ability to work 5-7 days per week in rotational shifts, if needed, including holidays and weekends.
