Lead Barista

This Floor Supervisor/Lead Barista is a working supervisory position in the front of house/auxiliary areas (floor service, beverages, pots/pans, dishroom, and storeroom). It is primarily stationed at the coffee shop and acts as the Lead Barista of that area.
*Positively and professionally interacts with customers.
*Ensures inventory control (front of house), portioning/waste control, proper food preparation/presentation, and quality service is being provided. Coordinates with management and chef team as needed.
*Works with the management team to supervise and train permanent and temporary staff.
*Monitors service and dining areas for cleanliness.
*Directs staff in the cleaning of areas and equipment in accordance with the sanitarians recommendations.
*Responsible to ensure areas are running efficiently and timely.
*Assists with ensuring compliance with sanitation guidelines and food/beverage handling and storage FDA codes and as directed by MSUs Registered Sanitarian.
*Actively works in all areas as needed.
*Performs other general kitchen duties.
*And actively contributes to the team by performing other duties as needed in support of the departments mission.
