Job Summary: The Guest Ambassador is responsible for greeting guests eagerly as we welcome them into our establishments. This position is the first and last to interact with guests and is responsible for providing excellent customer service. The Guest Ambassador completes tasks like answering phone calls & emails, checking guests in & out, assisting with the transportation of luggage & assisting with guest inquiries. This role is a vital aspect in assuring we supply the guest with exceptional southern hospitality.
Job Responsibilities:
- Registers guests and accommodates requests whenever possible.
- Handles both check-in and check-out process.
- Communicates with housekeeping and other departments and understands room status.
- Resolves guests' issues.
- Receives payment and resolves billing issues.
- Answer phones and respond to emails in a professional and friendly manner.
- Maintain a clean workspace.
- Unload and transport guest luggage upon arrival
- Assist in the transport and loading of guest luggage upon departure.
- Assist guests with any needs, questions, or special requests.
- Maintain an engaged and motivated bell staff to provide excellent service.
- Assist guests with parking.
- Be aware of daily hotel activities, group, and VIP arrivals.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Sufficient education and literacy are necessary to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
- Previous in-person experience preferred.
- Previous hospitality experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Detail oriented and thorough
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests.
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards.
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant friendly way.
- Active Listener
- Knowledge of guest service operations
- Ability to identify and resolve issues related to position independently.
- Ability to listen intently to guests while providing service.
- Ability to implement operations to achieve service excellence.
- Basic Knowledge of the surrounding area
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
