The Homestead Resort & Golf Club is undergoing exciting and extensive renovations of all areas, so the Executive Chef should expect to work in a changing environment with a mix of older and newer outlets until the full completion of the renovation. The main restaurant has not yet been renovated, but plans are to build a new restaurant. The Executive Chef will be responsible to reimagine the existing restaurant to ensure guests at the hotel staying in brand new rooms and the local community has an incredible experience in our well-known restaurant Simons, which has been around for over 100 years. The Banquet space has all been renovated, so ensuring high-quality food matches the new meeting space is crucial. The Milk House, our new ice cream and coffee shop, has just opened and will be under the direction of the Executive Chef, serving fresh pastries, house-made ice cream, and great coffee. 1886, our brand new golf course and pool grill, will be opening in April 2023, so developing new menus, understanding smoking, and BBQ, and training the staff with this new outlet will be a priority. The Executive Chef is responsible for all food and pastry production including that used for the restaurant, banquet functions, and other food and beverage outlets for the existing campus. Develops innovative menus and trains all kitchen staff. Maintains quality standards, safety, and sanitation in all areas of food production. Develops and monitors food costs and labor costs.
