Position OverviewA barista is the main person behind the counter at the coffee shop who prepares espresso-based beverages and other various coffee drinks. Baristas promote coffee consumption by engaging customers and creating quality coffee beverages.

Responsibilities- Greets customers as they approach the barista bar while keeping a clean, sanitary environment.
- Provides great attention to the quality of the coffee as well as the presentation.
- Able to maintain efficient customer flow, while possessing good customer service skills, identifying what specific ingredients are needed to produce the drink of choice for each customer.
- Contributes to a positive team environment, demonstrates composure, and thrives in day-to-day operations and demanding situations to provide a unique coffee experience.
- Preparing food items/grab and go’s sold in the coffee shop as ordered by customers.
- Quality and care of maintaining, cleaning, and servicing all coffee related equipment and tools while following sanitation procedures; and notifying the supervisor or manager of any necessary equipment repairs.
- Responsible for the efficient operation of the registers or other computerized order entry systems in the shop.
- Responsible for the collection and safekeeping of all charge slips, coffee vouchers, and processing rewards.
