• Greet all guests with a warm, genuine smile and friendly attitude.
• Manage reservation system (Resy, OpenTable, or similar), including walk-ins and waitlists.
• Maintain an organized and efficient seating chart to optimize table turns and guest flow.
• Answer phones, respond to guest inquiries, and assist with takeout orders when necessary.
• Communicate effectively with management, servers, bussers, and other team members regarding guest seating and special requests.
• Keep the host stand and entrance area clean and welcoming at all times.
• Handle guest issues professionally, escalating to management when necessary.
• Ensure guest satisfaction from entry to exit, thanking them and inviting them to return.
• Follow dress code and appearance standards to represent the brand appropriately.
• Support the team during busy shifts with light duties like polishing menus, folding napkins, or resetting tables as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a high-volume NYC restaurant or hospitality environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Well-groomed and professional appearance.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with grace under pressure.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Familiarity with reservation platforms like Resy or OpenTable is a strong plus.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, especially in multicultural neighborhoods.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced, guest-focused hospitality setting.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and move quickly.
• May require occasional lifting of menus, boxes, or supplies (up to 20 lbs).

Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $25.00)
