PURPOSE
The Prep Cook - Sports Bar is responsible for assisting in the preparation of food items and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment in the Sports Bar. This position ensures that food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, cleanliness, and safety. The Prep Cook works under the direction of the Sous Chef, assisting in food prep, stocking, and maintaining the kitchen to facilitate smooth and efficient operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Food Preparation: Prepare and organize food items to the highest quality standards, including chopping, dicing, portioning, and pre-cooking as required by the menu.
- Assist with Cooking: Assist in the cooking process as needed by preparing ingredients, assembling dishes, and following kitchen procedures under supervision.
- Kitchen Maintenance & Cleanliness: Maintain a clean and organized prep area, ensuring all food prep areas and kitchen tools are sanitized regularly. Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Inventory & Stock Management: Assist with inventory management by restocking ingredients and supplies as needed, and ensure proper storage and rotation of food products to minimize waste.
- Quality Control: Monitor the quality of food during preparation and report any issues with the food quality or ingredients to the Lead Cook or Sous Chef.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely preparation and smooth kitchen operations during busy service periods.
- Compliance with Health & Safety Standards: Adhere to all food safety guidelines, including food handling, sanitation practices, and kitchen safety standards.
- Support the Kitchen Team: Assist the other kitchen staff with any other kitchen duties as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Cook, Sous Chef, or Chef de Cuisine to ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and effectively.

- Food Safety & Sanitation: Knowledge of food safety guidelines and proper sanitation practices.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to prepare food to consistent standards with attention to detail in every task.
- Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Communication Skills: Clear and effective communication with kitchen staff and supervisors.

PREFERRED
Education and Experience:
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen or sports bar environment.
Skills and Abilities:
- Bilingual a plus.
- Experience working with kitchen inventory management systems or food ordering systems.

You must obtain and maintain a Gaming License from the Snoqualmie Gaming Commission. Pre-employment drug testing is required for all positions. The use of marijuana will not disqualify an applicant for positions in any department other than Transportation (Valet, Driver I). DOT panel testing is required for the Driver position.
