Medical Cleaner

Position Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Cleaner to join our healthcare team. This role involves maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in patient care areas. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in spaces where patients are present and will be required to complete regular health screenings to ensure the safety of all individuals in the facility.

Pay: $18.25 an hour

The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Shift: Wednesday - Sunday 8am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, exam rooms, and other clinical areas following strict infection control protocols.
• Interact professionally and respectfully with patients while performing cleaning duties.
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces and medical equipment (non-clinical use only).
• Restock supplies such as hand sanitizer, gloves, and paper products in patient areas.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous waste and sharps containers.
• Complete daily cleaning logs and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Follow all safety and PPE guidelines to prevent cross-contamination.
• Participate in regular health screenings and comply with facility health and vaccination requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a healthcare or medical cleaning role is highly desirable.
• Understanding of infection prevention and control standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with patients in a courteous and professional manner.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and health clearance (including vaccinations and TB testing).

Working Conditions:

• Work is performed in patient care areas, including occupied rooms.
• Exposure to cleaning chemicals, bodily fluids, and infectious materials (with proper PPE).
• Requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Must adhere to all health and safety protocols, including daily health screenings.
