Mount Aloysius College, repeatedly recognized by ModernThink as a "Great College to Work For," is seeking candidates to perform full-time work in our Maintenance/Grounds department.
Maintenance/Groundskeepers are responsible for the appearance, condition and maintenance of the Campus facilities and grounds. Duties are dependent on the season and include shoveling, snow-removal, spreading ice melt, mowing, weeding, shrubbery pruning, and debris removal. Additional duties include hauling trash from buildings to dumpster locations, picking up and dropping off deliveries to various locations on and off Campus, and participating in event set up and tear down. Further duties may be assigned depending on the candidate's skill set. i.e., minor repairs, painting, etc.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Experience working on grounds, maintenance or physical plant team preferred. Ability to carry out assigned responsibilities independently in the absence of direct supervision and follow oral and/or written directions required. Ability to set work priorities and establish a good rapport with coworkers also required. This position requires occasional evening and weekend hours to assist with special events. Background clearances including criminal history, FBI Fingerprint, and PA child abuse, and valid, unencumbered PA Driver's license required as well.
This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible position. This role is not budgeted for visa sponsorship at this time; all candidates must be authorized to work in the US at the time of submission of their application.
