JOB DESCRIPTION
Department: Building Maintenance
Shift: Various shifts from 5am-10pm
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Job Summary:
As a Maintenance Technician I, you will be responsible for providing preventative and corrective building maintenance work to the warehouse and show floor. Building maintenance activities include but are not limited to fire suppression systems, drywall, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fixtures, painting, welding, and other various equipment. Work assignments are varied and may be received verbally or in writing. The ideal Maintenance Technician I will work independently by prioritizing their time, utilizing problem solving methods, demonstrating good judgment, and a use high degree of tact and diplomacy.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Typical duties include but are not limited to:
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems using manuals, schematics, technical drawings and testing equipment
Repair equipment, fixtures, systems, and other equipment at facility
Modify, lubricate, diagnose, and operate equipment
Clean and keep inventory of maintenance area in pliance with corporate and OSHA standards.. Ordering necessary parts for repairs on occasion.
Work independently and with other team members to plete repairs in a safe and timely manner
Create and report repairs throughout shift. Complete required work orders, document parts and material usage
Understand and follow safety rules including safe lifting practices and safe tool operation. Personal Protective Equipment is to be used where required.
Make emergency and or customer house calls as needed.
Test repaired items and areas to verify repair if needed.
Apply technical standards, professional judgment in making decisions.
Always ensure your safety and the safety of all others.
Ability to work a flexible schedule.
Abide by all pany policies and procedures.
All other duties assigned by the Maintenance Manager as directed.
End each shift knowing you made a difference
Qualifications
Vocational/technician training in general building maintenance, electrical and plumbing
Experience working with heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems preferred
Knowledge of electrical, drywall, and plumbing repair
Skills in operation of various machinery, tools, and equipment
Excellent munication skills including written and verbal
Valid Arizona Driver's License with a clean driving record is required..
Must have own tools.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to effectively municate with co-workers.
Ability to safely operate vehicles and equipment to test and troubleshoot for proper operation before and after maintenance
Knowledge of workplace safety procedures.
Compensation Package:
Pay rate: $17.71 per hour
Supervision Given and Received:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities. This position is supervised directly by the Maintenance Manager.

Ability to be trained on the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Have a strong independent work ethic.
Excellent organizational skill and the ability to demonstrate attention to detail, and accuracy.

Basic puter skills required.
Certificates and Licenses:
Maintenance certifications preferred such as HVAC, electrical, etc. Recycling and Environmental Health and Safety certifications/licenses preferred.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED is preferred; maintenance related degree preferred; equivalent bination of education and experience accepted in lieu of diploma.
Physical Demands:
Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
Requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours a day.
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
Able to work in various weather conditions. The physical environment requires the employee to work both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing 50-100lbs
Able to work shifts that are 8-12 hours long.
Ability to work 0 to 35 feet above the ground.
