We are looking for a regular full-time Line Cook who would thrive in a hospitality/culinary environment and be highly focused on providing superior service to members and guests while maintaining an innovative and creative environment!
Under the direct supervision of the Executive Chef, our line cooks are responsible for setting up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies, preparing food for service, and cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Our line cooks must stock inventory appropriately, as well as comply with nutrition/sanitation/safety regulations. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality, and in a timely manner while maintaining a positive and professional approach to customers and coworkers. Line cooks must always support safe work habits and a safe working environment as well as cleaning stations and taking care of leftover food.
Compensation: $19-$22 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Culinary certificate or diploma from a college or technical school
Proven cooking experience as a line chef, restaurant, or prep cook.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Using different equipment and utensils, cooking, grilling, and prepare various food products, including meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables, according to the Club's recipes and customers' requests.
Perform preparation tasks, such as making sandwiches, carving meats, and making soups or salads.
Coordinate and time orders with other kitchen operations to finish food items simultaneously.
Set up, maintains, and breaks down the cooking station.
Ensure that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
Cover, date, and neatly store all reusable leftover products and place items in coolers.
Combine measured ingredients in bowls of mixing, blending, or cooking machinery.
Place dough in pans, molds, or sheets and bake in production ovens or grills.
Set time and speed controls for mixing machines, blending machines, or steam kettles so that ingredients are mixed or cooked according to instructions.
Be able to cook, bake, and decorate savory and sweet foods in a professional kitchen environment.
