Responsibilities include:
- In partnership with the management team and Director of Restaurant Operations, develop business strategies and plans that ensure alignment with short- and long-term objectives and translate those strategies into actionable goals for performance, growth, and annual operational planning
- Lead and manage 5 services per week ensuring our standards are upheld
- Manage the ordering of supplies such as paper goods, bar supplies, and non-alcoholic beverages
- Work as part of the FOH management team to operate in accordance with achieving budgeted sales and operating costs, including actively engaging with monthly P&L statements and other financial tools to understand, and impact, sales and cost trends by:
- Organizing and monitoring workflow and productivity in accordance with business demand to achieve budgeted labor costs, including managing timecards, punch change requests, and time off requests
- Work as part of the management team to:
- Develop and implement systems and processes that are effective, efficient, and compliant with all laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Continuously recruit top talent to build an agile, diverse, and committed team, including identifying opportunities for cross-training and trailing candidates to evaluate their competency and skill level
- Teach, train, and mentor, including identifying opportunities for cross-training and advancement, to foster the conditions for success on team and individual levels
- Resolve conflict and employee performance issues through mediation, coaching and counseling, and progressive discipline
- Manage with empathy and integrity and ensure strong, respectful, productive communication across all teams
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings regarding the overall strategy and success of the business, including quarterly financials meetings and HR trainings
- Work with the Director of Operations to establish and achieve clear individual performance goals
- With support from Director of Operations and FOH team, execute and further the wine program:
- Possess a strong foundation in Italian wine, regions, grape varieties, and producerswith an emphasis on contemporary Italian natural winemakers.
- Support wine program operations: assist in wine selection, maintain inventory, update menus, organize storage, and perform monthly inventory.
- Lead floor wine sales and service: act as sommelier, communicate wine updates, mentor staff on wine strategy, and report low counts.
Successful candidates will:
- Have 2+ years of progressive dining room experience with foundational beverage and service knowledge and a commitment to deepening that knowledge base
- Be oriented towards collaboration
- Be friendly, organized, focused, energetic, and communicative
- Be adept at conflict resolution and constructive feedback

While performing the duties of the job, a Service Manager is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. They must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
Compensation DetailsCompensation: Salary ($70,000.00 - $75,000.00)
