Support all manufacturing lines using mechanical skills to adjust, repair, replace and perform scheduled maintenance for optimum operating conditions.
Use mechanical skills when making observations in each situation, followed by a systematic step-by-step method to minimize machine downtime.
Notify Engineering when a major situation arises for consultation, etc.
Maintain all lines for peak efficiency.
Be able to run all phases of manufacturing lines, including secondary operations, proficiently.
After performing preventive maintenance on a given line, run material to satisfy that line is acceptable for Manufacturing.
Maintain maintenance records as performed.
Perform facilities maintenance tasks as required.

Required/Preferred Education and Experience

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Be able to read and understand all manufacturing related components
Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Have mechanical ability to maintain hybrid systems in the manufacturing of medical electrode devices.
Use precision measuring equipment for close tolerance work.
Tool setting on small power presses.
Knowledge of Forklift and Licensed

Job Summary

Under supervision of the Facility Manager is responsible for providing onsite maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems to ensure 24/7 facility access to a clean, safe working environment that supports the ZOLL Corporate Mission

Essential Functions
  • Performs troubleshooting, preventive & corrective maintenance of building equipment and systems on time and in an appropriate manner and documents same utilizing a work order system.
  • Evaluates equipment performance and recommends improvements to maintenance program and system design.
  • Assists external service providers/contractors responsible for building equipment and systems when necessary.
  • Independently applies skills, experience and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to troubleshoot, adjust, install, repair, replace and maintain equipment or facilities.
  • Available for and responds to unscheduled, emergency, on-call, after-hour situations to meet the needs of the department, i.e., floods, roof leaks, storm emergencies, etc.
  • Develops and maintains spare parts inventory.
  • Orders products supplies and other materials as needed for routine operation of equipment and systems.
  • Ensures quality of work, provides in-house expertise.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Participates in and successfully completes mandatory education and/or training.
  • Works on special projects as assigned

Required/Preferred Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma Or equivalent required
  • At least five years of experience in a similar role required and
  • Good working knowledge of building repairs. Safe and efficient use of power and hand tools. required and
  • Experience with JCI Metasys Building management system required and
  • Experience with computers and Microsoft Office required and
  • Experience with computer maintenance management systems (CMMS), Building Management Systems (BMC), or Building Automation Systems (BAS). required and
  • Demonstrated abilities and/or evidence of training in repair, operation, and troubleshooting of HVAC equipment not required but a preferred

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Prior work experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to develop strong relationships.
  • Should be able to climb a ladder, reach, bend, and lift loads up to 50 lbs. independently, more with assistance.
  • Valid drivers license
  • Incumbent will be required to carry a cell phone and to be on-call to support building operations.
  • Positive attitude and even temperament.
  • Solid communication skills to effectively deal with various levels of management, staff and outside contractors

Travel Requirements
  • travel between ZOLL sites (Chelmsford to Billerica)
