We at Bettina are currently looking to hire a talented and experienced lead server to join our front of house team. The range of responsibilities for this position will include overseeing guest experiences, seating and reshuffling tables on Tock, serving guests, wine service and food running. The job will also entail supporting service staff and holding service staff accountable for following procedures. Our main priority is to create a positive working environment, where everyone helps each other to create a memorable experience for our guests. We are very focused on our sourcing for both food and wine, so candidates should be excited to learn the details about our various vendors and be able to articulate those details to other employees and guests. Previous lead serving or management experience required. Wine service experience or personal interest in natural/organic wines and cocktails preferred. Opportunity to engage in wine education if interested. Shift lead will be in the tip pool - our team makes generous tips in addition to $16.50/hour rate.

The husband-and-wife team moved to Santa Barbara County in 2014 from New York City, where Rachel worked in specialty food sales and Brendan worked as the head baker at Robertas pizza in Brooklyn. After catering with their mobile wood-fired pizza oven for several years, the restaurant is the next step in the couples mission to build community through hospitality and good food. Located in Santa Barbara in the historic Montecito Country Mart and a half mile from Butterfly Beach, Bettina is a neighborhood restaurant serving naturally leavened wood-fired pizzas and simple, seasonal Italian-inspired fare. In September 2021, the Michelin Guide awarded Bettina a "Bib Gourmand", and was also featured on the Food Network's Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives with Guy Fieri!
