We are currently seeking a positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated server tojoin our exceptional food & beverage team. Our Server will work closelywith the hotel's food & beverage team.

Welcome to Freehands second outpost! Designed by Manhattan-based Romanand Williams, the building celebrates the citys Midwestern heritage with astring of evocative communal spaces and rooms located in the restored 1927 ArtDeco building, set among the high-rises of the downtown River Northneighbourhood home to some of the citys best art galleries, boutiques andrestaurants. Featuring 217 rooms and amazing public spaces like Cafe Integralcoffee and breakfast bar and the cozy Broken Shaker Bar, its a buzzing, busyspace that represents the best of Freehand. Between the busy social calendarand the ever-changing makeup of guests and locals coming to play, its aparticularly fun and fulfilling space for everyone in the Freehand Chicago teamto work in.

N UTS AND BOLTS OF THE JOB

• Serve food courses and alcoholicbeverages to guests
• Set tables according to servicestandards
• Answer questions on menuselections
• Communicate with the kitchenregarding menu questions, the length of wait, recook orders, and productavailability
• Communicate additional meal requirements,allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen
• Record transaction in POS systemat time of order
• Check in with guests to ensuresatisfaction with each food course and/or beverages
• Maintain cleanliness of workareas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day
• Present physical and accuratecheck to guest and process payment
• Ensure personal appearance isclean and professional
• Maintain confidentiality ofproprietary information, and protect company assets
• Develop and maintain positiveworking relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, andlisten and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees
• Ensure adherence to qualityexpectations and standards
• Perform other job duties asrequested by Management

WHATSIN YOUR DNA

• Basicreading, writing and oral proficiency in the English Language
• PreviousFood & Beverage and/or related experience helpful
• Excellentorganizational skills
• Bi/Multi-Lingual a plus
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently
• StrongCommunication Skills
• Able tohandle a large volume of guest interactions in an efficient and courteousmanner
• Workwell under pressure, requires being a team player
