Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Mechanic to join our chemical manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the seamless operation of plant equipment, performing preventative and corrective maintenance tasks, and communicating with vendors for ordering and managing maintenance parts. This role is vital to maintaining production efficiency, safety, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform routine and emergency mechanical maintenance on production equipment and plant infrastructure.
+ Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical systems including pumps, valves, motors, and conveyance systems.
+ Maintain detailed records of maintenance tasks and repairs for compliance and tracking.
+ Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to ensure optimal equipment functionality.
+ Inspect, test, and verify mechanical components to meet quality and safety specifications.
+ Identify and order necessary replacement parts and supplies from approved vendors.
+ Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
+ Maintain an organized inventory of maintenance supplies and tools.
+ Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all maintenance activities.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in industrial maintenance, minimum of 2 years.
+ Proficiency in troubleshooting and performing preventive maintenance.
+ Mechanical repair knowledge.
+ Familiarity with pumps, conveyors, and belts.
+ Ability to assemble and disassemble pumps.
+ Knowledge of maintenance parts and vendor communication.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Experience in ordering maintenance parts.
+ Strong communication skills for vendor relations.
**Work Environment**
The role is based in a chemical manufacturing plant located in Mojave. The work involves interaction with industrial equipment in a demanding and fast-paced setting.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a position based out of Mojave, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
