Baker - Waxwing Bakery

Waxwing Bakery is looking to add a Baker to our team!

Waxwing Bakery is a bakery located in Windham on Roosevelt Trail. We serve laminated pastries, sourdough bread, morning pastries, coffees, teas and more.

The ideal candidate has previous experience working with laminated pastries, sourdough breads, pastries and likes early mornings. A positive attitude, friendly demeanor and willingness to learn are key requirements for this position. Waxwing Bakery is passionate about what we do and are looking for someone who shares in that passion.

Waxwing Bakery is a small bakery and candidates must be able to work well on their own and as part of team.

The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:

- At least 2 (two) years prior experience in a professional kitchen setting
- Experience working with naturally leavened breads, laminated pastries, morning pastries, cookies, and savory food items.
- Basic knowledge of baking and pastry techniques, kitchen equipment, ingredients, and food safety.
- The ability to work early mornings on a rotating schedule (Some shifts may start as early as 3 am)
- Reliable Transportation
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, including multitasking and prioritizing effectively.
- A keen attention to detail.
- Ability to lift at least 50# and stand on your feet for 10 hours.

Bakers work 10 hour days, 4 days a week.
Pay starts at $20/hour + tips
