Line Cook Assisted Living for Seniors

Join our Dining Services team at Ravenna Assisted Living and be a part of our senior care family. We are looking for one entry-level cook and one experienced cook with a passion for providing a comforting and satisfying experience for our elderly residents. In these golden years, eating is one of the last pleasures of life for our elderly residents. It is full of meaning and memories. We provide a balanced and nutritious meals as well as locally-inspired favorites like Navajo taco and frito pie. 

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one (1) year of experience as a cook. If you've worked in a healthcare or long-term care setting, that is a plus. Additional responsibilities for this role include:

1. Work with the Dining Services manager to prepare meals on dietician approved menu
2. Make and serve snacks and beverages throughout the day to ensure residents are well-nourished
3. Assist in organizing and set up of special events with themed meals for holidays and celebrations
4. Ensure the kitchen, food storage, and preparation areas are kept clean, safe, and sanitary at all times

In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate for this role should possess good communication skills, and pay attention to detail. They should also have a good understanding of food safety practices and be able to adapt to the dietary needs of individual residents.
