Part-time Lunch Custodian (36 week)

3 Days a Week, Up to 10 Hours a Week

Position Summary:
Goshen High School is seeking a dependable and hardworking individual to join our custodial team as a Part-Time Cafeteria Custodian . This position focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming cafeteria during lunch hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize tables, chairs, and high-traffic surfaces between lunch periods
• Sweep, mop, and spot-clean floors as needed
• Remove trash and replace liners
• Assist with the setup or rearrangement of cafeteria furniture as needed
• Respond quickly to spills or accidents to ensure student safety
• Work cooperatively with cafeteria and custodial staff to support a smooth lunch operation
• Follow all district safety and sanitation protocols

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years’ experience in maintenance/custodial work or a related field preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to regularly lift a minimum of 25 pounds and up to 50 pounds
• Ability to interact with staff, students, and community in professional and courteous manner

HOURS: School year: 36 weeks; 108 days per year plus additional training days as needed ; 10 hours per week; daily hours (10:30 am to 1:00 pm)

SALARY: $17.55-$17.75 , rate is dependent upon education and/or experience. (Schedule# 35-2)
