Building Maintenance Technician**
**Job Description**
The Building Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of tasks related to the maintenance, repair, and alteration of buildings and their equipment. This role involves setting up, adjusting, and maintaining equipment with responsibility for production and quality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Analyze mechanical and operational problems on equipment and plan for corrective action.
+ Make necessary corrections and adjustments to maintain maximum production throughput and quality.
+ Review production schedule and change over equipment to new sizes or perform scheduled maintenance when equipment is not scheduled for manufacturing.
+ Perform routine start-up inspections and preventive maintenance checks, report findings to supervision, and take appropriate action.
+ Work from drawings, specifications, and instruction manuals.
+ Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems, and PLCs.
+ Repair equipment such as Auger Fillers, Gable Top Carton Filling Machines, Vertical Form/Fill/Seal Machines, Conveyor Systems, Ink Jet Printers, Liquid Processors, Ribbon Blenders, Vibratory Screens, and X-Ray and Metal Detection equipment.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience in food manufacturing environments with at least 3-5 years.
+ Knowledge of mechanical troubleshooting and repair.
+ Facility maintenance and industrial maintenance skills.
+ Ability to troubleshoot and repair pneumatics, gears, motors, and packaging equipment.
+ Preventive and corrective maintenance skills.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Some electrical maintenance knowledge is preferred.
+ Experience with older equipment (20+ years), emphasizing mechanical troubleshooting.
+ Food manufacturing and packaging equipment skills.

The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $63000.00/yr.
