The Senior Lead Person is responsible for the proper maintenance of buildings and grounds. Supervises, reviews and trains custodial staff. Performs custodial duties as required.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: Minimum of two (2) years work experience as a supervisor
Knowledge: General knowledge of custodial practices and procedures.
Responsibilities
Assigns and performs cleaning task which may include: scrubbing, disinfecting, sweeping, mopping, dusting furniture and chalk boards, stripping and buffing floors.
Supervises, trains and evaluates custodial/grounds staff under the direct supervision of the Associate Director of Facilities..
Maintains personnel records as required (vacation schedules, absences, etc.).
Assists the Associate Director in establishing and maintaining personnel work schedules.
Oversees the processing of work orders and complete associated paperwork.
Oversees and maintains cleaning equipment and cleaning supplies.
Makes routine inspections of buildings and grounds identifying repair and custodial needs.
Oversees and performs outside grounds snow shoveling/blowing.
Oversees and ensure that washrooms are stocked with soap, toilet paper and paper towels.
Equipment operated: vacuums, carpet shampooer, floor scrubber/waxer/buffer, snow blower/shovel, dominator, brooms, mop/bucket/wringer, sprayers, dusters, squeegee, cleaning cart
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Associate Director of Facilities.
