SUMMARY

Leadin daily Front of House operations to deliver a 5-Star, 5-Diamond, 3-MichelinStar experience to all guests. Maintain all aspects of the service areas,dining room, and property. Serve as the ambassador of the establishment andplay a leadership role.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Able to flawlessly execute the mechanics and standardsof service
  • Is conscious of time-management andorder-of-operation skills
  • Able to confidently speak in depth about property andconduct a kitchen tour
  • Mastery of etiquette
  • Can accurately assess a guests mood level and takeactions accordingly
  • Exhibits anticipatory service
  • Comprehensive understanding of MOD and resort-suitefunctions; create and manage a folio, make dinner reservations, book rooms,menus, billing, etc.
  • Well versed in protocol for potential inspectors
  • Can effectively delegate to both front of house andback of house teams
  • Able to serve cheese from the cheese cart and speakconfidently about selections
  • Expert ability to supervise breakfast service
  • Full understanding of all billing requirements;splitting checks, tock deposits, packages, discounts, and transferring checks
  • Able to execute tableside presentations; squabcarving, Caesar, mini B, pour-over coffee, wine presentation, etc.
  • Will regularly update guest profile in Tock tobuild the database
  • Writes correct and accurate tickets for all tableswith all necessary information
  • Has full daily knowledge of the CIP report
  • Is directly responsible for the section before and duringservice
  • Able to recognize long time guests and friends ofThe Inn
  • Takes on additional responsibilities outside ofservice and improves upon them; floor plan, schedule, CGS, linens, candles,paycom, etc.
  • Full knowledge of all beverages available
  • Able to sell bottles of wine accurately and to theguests liking/specification
  • Full knowledge of the property including details suchas; who did this painting, where is this cabinet from, etc., as well as ongoingprojects, current publications, recent reviews, etc.
  • Assists management in staff performancereviews and promotes team members growth
  • Master of all FOH position; can do anything, at anytime, for any reason
  • Able to orchestrate a private event
  • Responsible for the fulfillment of traininginformation for new staff
  • Exemplifies leadership, professionalism, positiveattitude, and accountability
  • Utilizes channels of communication between all departments
  • Embodies the Crisis Solver in giving directionand resolving issues
  • Plays a role in recruiting

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • 2 years prior fine dining experience
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must be well-groomed and well-presented with no visibletattoos
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Advanced wine knowledge
  • Mustbe able to work weekends/holidays and have a flexible work schedule
  • Mastery of Forbes 5-Star standards

Desirable

  • CMS 1 & 2 highly recommended
  • Ability to communicate in a language other than English,preferably Spanish or French
  • Certification in alcohol awareness program
  • Certification in CPR
  • Prior experience with Resortsuite and Tock
  • Bartending experience

SKILLS

  • Ability to communicate in English both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills both verbal andwritten
  • Must always be organized and maintain cleanliness ofworkstation
  • Ability to speak using clear and professional language
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to cross-train across multiple departments andassist when needed
  • Ability to assist guests with questions about the property,history, and surrounding areas
  • Ability to hold staff accountable through coaching andcounseling

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Must be able to lift 30+ lbs.
  • Able to stand, bend and walk for long periods of time
  • Frequent or occasional need to perform the followingphysical activities: reaching, bending, pushing, pulling, twisting, lifting andclimbing
