Day - 08 Hour (United States of America) This is a Stanford Blood Center job.

A Brief Overview
Under the direct supervision of the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Maintenance Worker is responsible to perform the duties of building maintenance and repairs, furniture and office moves, and vehicle transport for service. Perform related duties as assigned.

What you will do
  • Perform minor repairs and building maintenance, including replacement of fluorescent lights, seismic bracing, repair of leaky faucets and light carpentry work.Examples: Perform these tasks at any SBC location.
  • Complete work order requests from all Blood Center departments.Examples: SBC Depts. submit requests for work they need completed.
  • Assemble, install and move office furniture, equipment and appliances as necessary.Examples: Relocate and setup existing and new furniture or equipment.
  • Deliver and pick up of Blood Center vehicles for routine service and maintenance.
  • Deliver and pick up supplies to and from all Blood Center locations as well as off-site storage.
  • Comply with governmental regulations and Stanford Health Care and Blood Center policies regarding health and safety. Observe and support good health and safety practices.
  • Strictly observe privacy and security related policies, procedures and practices to preserve the integrity and confidentiality of medical and other sensitive information pertaining to donors, patients, research subjects, and employees. Act as a responsible information steward and treats information as sensitive and confidential in accordance with federal and state laws and with professional ethics, accreditation standards and legal requirements. Do not disclose protected health information inappropriately.
  • May be required to enter areas where other individuals work with human blood; potential may exist for unanticipated exposure to bloodborne pathogens by splash or spill.

Education Qualifications
  • High school graduation or equivalent required.

Experience Qualifications
  • Office and/or supply experience preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to write legibly required.
  • Must be able to understand and apply policies, procedures and protocols to their daily work.
  • Must be able to perform minor building maintenance and repairs.

Licenses and Certifications
  • CADL - California Drivers License - Valid And In State

Base Pay Scale: Generally starting at $37.44 - $42.01 per hour

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training. This pay scale is not a promise of a particular wage.
