The Hilton Chicago hotel opened its doors in 1927 and has served as one of the city's most revered addresses ever since. Located on South Michigan Avenue and overlooking Grant Park and Lake Michigan, the hotel has been meticulously redesigned and restored in a way that preserves the magnificence of its early 20th Century style while incorporating all of the 21st Century conveniences our guests expect.

With 1,544 guest rooms and suites, 234,000 sq. ft. of meeting and event space, a full menu of amenities, exceptional dining options, and an ideal location in downtown Chicago, the hotel is both accommodating and convenient.

What will I be doing?

As a Food Server, you would be responsible for serving food and/or beverages to guests in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Respond to guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner

Ensure knowledge of menu and restaurant promotions and specials

Take guest food and/or beverage orders and input orders in appropriate pointofsale system

Retrieve and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner

Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal service

Serve alcoholic/nonalcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations

Ensure serving station is wellstocked at all times

Pay Rate

The hourly rate upon hire is $12.62. After completion of 1 year of employment, the rate will increase to $13.36 or the applicable union rate at the time.
