Job Description:
The Host | Maitre d will be the first impression for our guests and will be key to delivering a memorable experience for all who dine with us. Under the direction of the Manager on Duty, this position will be responsible to manage the seating of guests, handle operations at the Lunchbox and generally guide guests as they enter into our space .
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a professional and friendly communication style with in-person guests and on the phone and in email to create a welcoming client centric environment.
- Serve as restaurant ambassador | concierge to greet each guest as they enter and do whatever is necessary to assure they have the best experience possible.
- Have full knowledge of each tables service status and use that information to give guests the best seating experience possible.
- Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage offerings, including: ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service; be able to explain all food and beverage items listed on the menu.
- Ring all to-go food and beverage items and properly handle payments with 100% accuracy.
- At the beginning of each shift create a seating plan that bests utilizes the restaurants space . Use knowledge of regulars and VIPs to put them in the best seats to assure they have the best experience.
- Assist with daily setup and breakdown of the dining area and midday resets, as needed.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Monitor sales of Lunchbox items , wine and fancy foods and report back to management on sales trends and popularity.
- This includes restocking and remerchandising all Lunchbox items and keeping track of all inventory regularly.

Compensation DetailsCompensation: Hourly ($18.00) plus tips
