Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Cleaner to help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within our facilities. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, follows instructions with precision, and contributes to a positive and healthy workplace for staff, visitors, and clients.
As a Cleaner, you will be responsible for general cleaning duties in offices, restrooms, common areas, and other spaces. Your role supports both employee well-being and the companys commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
1. General Cleaning Duties
Sweep, mop, vacuum, and polish floors in designated areas.
Dust and wipe down surfaces including desks, countertops, windowsills, equipment, and furniture.
Empty and sanitize trash cans, recycling bins, and waste containers.
Clean glass surfaces such as windows, mirrors, and doors.
Restock supplies in bathrooms, kitchens, and other areas (soap, paper towels, tissue, etc.).
2. Sanitation and Hygiene
Clean and disinfect restrooms thoroughly (toilets, urinals, sinks, floors, walls, etc.).
Sanitize high-touch surfaces regularly, including doorknobs, switches, and handrails.
Follow proper hygiene and safety procedures when handling cleaning chemicals.
Report any signs of pest infestations, mold, or unsanitary conditions.
3. Maintenance Support
Report any damaged or malfunctioning fixtures, furniture, or cleaning equipment.
Notify supervisors of any supplies that need to be replenished.
Assist with light maintenance tasks as requested (changing light bulbs, moving items, etc.).
Ensure cleaning tools and equipment are cleaned and stored properly after use.
4. Event and Special Cleaning
Assist with cleanup before or after meetings, events, or projects.
Perform periodic deep cleaning as scheduled (carpet shampooing, window cleaning, etc.).
Job Requirements:
Qualifications
Education and Experience
No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
Previous cleaning or janitorial experience preferred but not mandatory.
On-the-job training will be provided.
Licenses and Requirements
Must be legally eligible to work.
Ability to pass a background check if required.
Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, lift/move objects (up to 40 lbs), and stand for long periods.
Key Skills and Competencies
Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and safe usage.
Attention to detail and pride in delivering high-quality results.
Good time-management and organizational skills.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
