Responsibilities
- Provides a warm and courteous greeting and farewell to all guests
- Answers all phone calls promptly
- Prepares and serves alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
- Keeps bar stocked and rotates products according to Cafe standards.
- Cleans and sanitizes customer seating areas
- Greets customers at bar, assists with bar and/or menu selection, takes Customers' orders, and uses suggestive selling techniques.
- Assists with carry-out orders.
- Prepares ingredients to be used in products according to recipes and product standards.
- Receives and inspects incoming orders for quality, quantity and accuracy.
- Maintains cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of the bar and surrounding area.
- Responsible for handling financial transactions for bar, beverage, and guest purchases. Manages money accurately and processes payment efficiently
- Ensures guest expectations are met or exceeded.
- Demonstrates proper knife handing skills and techniques.
- Places weekly beer, wine, and liquor orders based on management instruction.
- Complies with state regulations regarding alcohol service.
- Performs other duties as assigned
Working Conditions
Works in a non-smoking, normal store environment where there is not physical discomfort due to temperature, dust, noise, etc. Off-site conditions vary by location.
Requirements
Education And Experience (E = Essential D = Desired)
- (E) High school education or equivalent
- (D) Working knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- (D) Preferred Serve Safe Alcohol Certification
