Job Description
Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Department: Maintenance
Pay Rate: $17.00 Hourly
Hours: 8:00am- 5:00pm (On- call rotation as well)
Summary
We're seeking a hands-on, dependable Maintenance Mechanic (Non-Licensed) to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with general maintenance skills in carpentry, HVAC, plumbing,electrical who wants to make a real impact in a senior living environmentwithout needing a state mechanical license.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
Complete assigned work orders in resident rooms, healthcare areas, and common spaces
Perform basic repairs on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems (non-licensed tasks)
Install cabinets, countertops, drywall, and finish carpentry items
Apply paint, stains, and wall coverings for touch-ups and upgrades
Collaborate with departments to minimize disruptions during repairs
Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency maintenance issues
Follow all safety protocols and infection control policies
Qualifications:
High school diplomaGED required
1+ year experience in building maintenance, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing,related field
Trade school, vocational training,military experience is a plus
Frequent lifting & moving. Must have the ability to lift, move, push, pull, & transfer 50lbs with the physical capability to perform all job-related duties
Must be able to climb ladders and work in confinedelevated areas
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Comfortable interacting with residents, families, and staff in a professional manner
