Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Sous Chef to join our kitchen leadership team. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and driven by a passion for exceptional food and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations
Maintain high standards of food quality, preparation, and presentation
Support and lead a team of cooks with clear, consistent communication
Uphold kitchen cleanliness, food safety, and organizational systems
Participate in menu development and seasonal planning
Train and mentor junior staff, fostering a culture of learning and excellence
Maintain inventory and assist with ordering and cost controls
Lead by example with professionalism, punctuality, and a positive attitude
Requirements:
3+ years of experience in a professional kitchen; prior leadership experience preferred
Strong foundation in classic and contemporary French cooking techniques
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Clear communicator with the ability to lead calmly and effectively under pressure
Passion for food, hospitality, and continual learning
ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification (or willingness to obtain)
Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
