Assistant FOH Restaurant Manager required

We are a very busy established Time Square family owned upscale restaurant seeking a dedicated and experienced Assistant FOH Restaurant Manager to join our team. In this role, you will work the owner, the chef and the Operations Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to manage a diverse team effectively. Very skilled at Toast is a must! Experience with Wisk is a plus. This is a very polished position with a professional dress code!
Duties
Assist in managing daily restaurant operations, including staff supervision and shift management.
Ensure compliance with food and bar safety regulations and maintain cleanliness standards throughout the restaurant.
Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and financial reporting.
Train, develop, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service and enhance their skills.
Manage inventory levels, including ordering liquor and utilizing the program Wisk
Collaborate with the owner/GM to implement promotional strategies that drive sales and enhance customer experience.
Address customer inquiries on the floor and resolve any issues promptly to ensure satisfaction.
Monitor performance metrics and assist in preparing reports for management review.
Requirements
Past "key manager" responsibilities
Must have admin and computer experience (Toast, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc).
Must look very polished, professional and in control when on the floor.
Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role within the food service industry.
Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
Proficient in cash handling procedures and financial management within a restaurant setting.
Experience in training development for new hires and ongoing staff education.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
